This gallery includes photographs from my trip through northern Thailand in November of 2004. I stayed predominantly in Chiang Mai, except for an excursion into the jungle with my private guide and two porters. Aside from a difficult case of food poisoning, I found Thailand to be a brilliant country. Enjoy!
Abba, my guide, cooking lunch. Note the large bamboo shoots on the fire. The bamboo is carved into our cups and spoons. When heated, the water in the shoot is extracted and becomes boiled water suitable for tea and drinking.
